Kim Curley - Community Outreach
Kim Curley joined Commute Options for Central Oregon as a board member in 2001, when the agency became its own non-profit entity. From volunteering as the Secretary of the board, Kim has transitioned into a full-time employee.

In October 2003, Kim started Commute Options Partner (COP) recruitment, encouraging business owners to offer benefits to employees who bike, walk, carpool, bus, vanpool or telework instead of driving alone to work. She also reaches out to school aged children, educating families about the benefits of walking and biking to school. Three grants have arrived in Central Oregon through the Safe Routes to School program. Kim oversees "Walking School Buses" at Juniper and Bear Creek Elementary and helped secure funding for improved sidewalk connectivity on Bear Creek Road. 

HACO (Healthy Active Central Oregon) is a new project for Commute Options since November 2006. With funding from the Northwest Health Foundation, efforts are being made to encourage more physical activity and better nutrition among school aged children regionwide. Kim comes from a media background. For 15 years was a host and producer at several radio stations including Atlanta ' s News Talk 750 WSB,  and in Bend at NewsTalk 1110 KBND and Country 99.7 "The Mountain," She is still heard on the airwaves in Central Oregon, now touting the benefits of Commute Options.

In her spare time, Kim loves to cook and entertain, with her husband Rik Reynolds and their son, Jak, now 4 years old.

They took the long way to Oregon , spending 10 months living on the road. After 38 states, nearly every National Park in the US and 55,000 miles they settled in Central Oregon.
