MADRAS AND BUFF ELEMENTARY in Madras-June 1-4
ELK MEADOW ELEMENTARY in Bend-June 7-11
CROOK COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION in Prineville June 14-18
MADRAS KIDS CLUB in Madras July 12-16 and July 26-30
Safe Routes courses will include 4th - 8th grades. We need all possible volunteers, parents and the community. You don't need to be a particularly avid cyclist or an expert to help, we'll provide on-the-job training. It's great fun working with the kids! If you think you may be interested in volunteering, but you're not sure, feel free to contact Kim Curley at 651-408-6111.
Activities we need help with include:
Helmet check, fitting and encouragement Bike Safety check Bike Handling and skill building drills for youth Safe pedestrian behaviors Riding in Traffic: Routes, Signs, signals, and communicating with drivers Avoiding major hazards: crash causes and prevention Bike maintenance and repair Bicycling and Walking School busses
