Get the Whole Family Moving with the Walk and Roll Challenge

Tune into Commute Options social media this June for activities that will get you and your household moving and help to teach your young ones about navigating streets, intersections, and neighborhoods. You might even learn something new along the way!

From June 1-11, Commute Options will be posting daily lessons and companion activities that are aimed at boosting the skills and confidence of a young audience in crossing the street, riding a bike safely, and beginning to think of their neighborhood as part of a walking and rolling community. These lessons and activities will be absolutely FREE, along with the opportunity to be entered into a prize drawing for gift certificates up to $50.

This is a great opportunity to participate in some educational quality time with the young ones in your household. We’ve done the heavy lifting when it comes to planning. All you have to do is step out your front door!

We designed the Walk and Roll Challenge as part of a collaborative effort with the Street Trust and Oregon Safe Routes to School. For those who do not wish or are unable to participate in the Walk and Roll Challenge, our friends at the Street Trust have put together an art contest!
