Meet our Super Commuter of the quarter, Kaius!

Kaius is an adventurous 13-year old, always on the move. When asked about his favorite way to get around Bend, Kaius answered: biking (but only when his unicorns battery is dead).

Kai’s described his perfect day commuting as: “A cloudy but warm day, no wind… people driving stopping for me at all the intersections… a day when I go everywhere, exploring town and the trails where there are jumps. the most perfect day would be if there were people giving out free food at every corner”. We agree with Kaius here. 

What makes traveling by bike ideal for Kaius? He loves the freedom to go off roads, hop on trails, and overall have a more flexible route. Another huge bonus to traveling by bike, he doesn’t have to ask his parents for ride!

Kaius’ biggest barrier when traveling by bike is that longer distances can be challenging compared to if he could drive. Valid, since bikes are human-powered, longer distances require more effort and time.
